Sun. Jan 6th, 3:30pm First United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount Buddy will provide music for Dr. William Green's Rocky Mount District UMC training session on "Doubling Disciples."
Mon. Jan 7th, 1:30pm State Veterans' Nursing Home in Salisbury, NC Buddy will provide a 1-hour concert for the residents of the nursing home.

First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC

Buddy will sing "Honor Thou" from his CD, Step Out On the Water, for the "Letters From Dad" kickoff dinner in the church fellowship Hall. All men are invited to attend. See info from the church website below:

UMM Men's Letters from Dad "Feed the Beast Banquet" Program kickoff Sunday January 13, 6:30pm. First United Methodist Church - Cary, Fellowship Hall Greg Vaughn, the author and founder of "Letters from Dad," will be speaking and will share his story of how he got started on this mission and then explain how the program works. Dinner will start at 6:30 and the program will begin immediately afterwards.

This program is open to all men from all churches and denominations. Cost for the dinner is $10.00 per person. Please register to reserve your meal and seat. You can also purchase a dinner certificate at the FUMC office. If you choose to send a check as payment, please mail to FUMC 117 S. Academy St. Cary, NC 27511.

Fri Jan. 18th, 11:20am Sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC, across Salisbury Street from the historic State Capitol Building. Buddy will provide 30 minutes of "gathering music" prior to the start of the 2008 State Employees' Martin Luther King Day celebration. Gospel/Jazz pianist Ronald F. Williams will accompany on several of the songs. Buddy will also sing tenor with the MLK Choir during the service.
Fri. Jan 25th, 7:00-9:00pm Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC Buddy will provide 2 hours of music (secular and sacred) for the church's monthly coffeehouse. All are welcome. Special guests will be over 100 of the Triangle area's developmentally handicapped citizens and their caretakers. Lots of snacks will be served!
Fri. Feb. 1st, 8:00pm Meymandi Concert Hall, Raleigh, NC Buddy will play euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band in concert. Special professional guest trombone soloist is Doug Yeo (http://www.yeodoug.com/). Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Tickets will be available at the door.
Wed. Feb.6th thru Sat. Feb.9th Central Prison, 1300 Western Blvd.,Raleigh, NC Buddy will be one of 2 music leaders serving on a multi-denominational team putting on the winter KAIROS event inside Central Prison. KAIROS is a worldwide spiritual growth program, ministering specifically to prison residents. KAIROS is similar in content to the 72-hour Walk to Emmaus, Via de Christo, and Cursillo weekends.

Buddy will sing “Thy word” by Amy Grant / Michael W. Smith, “So Many Books” by Michael Card, and “The River of Grace” by David Marlette, at the weekly 5:30 Saturday worship service in the Log Cabin.

First United Methodist Church, Cary, in the Sanctuary

Buddy will sing “Grace Alone” (#2162 in the “The Faith We Sing” hymnal) during the 3 morning worship services in the sanctuary. Accompaniment will be acoustic guitar, with the amazing Mr. John Drymon on keyboard. The pastor’s message is part of a Lenten series titled “The River of Grace.”
All are welcome!

Saturday, March 15th 5:30pm

The Log Cabin on Waldo Street at First United Methodist Church, Cary

Buddy will provide two songs for Rev. William Green’s regular 5:30 worship service. It’s informal – come as you are!

First United Methodist Church, Cary, in the Sanctuary

Buddy will play euphonium with the orchestra (including several NC Symphony string players and several Triangle Brass Band brass players) in the 3 morning worship services in the sanctuary. All 3 services will feature the choirs in the presentation of a beautiful Lenten choral work titled “Once Upon a Tree” by local composer Pepper Choplin. They performed this one at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh a few years ago.
All are welcome!

Buddy will sing Michael Card’s “The Basin and the Towel” for the noon informal Lenten foot/hand washing service, conducted by Rev. Alice Kunka. All are welcome.

Fri. Mar 28th, 7:00-9:00pm Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC Buddy will provide 2 hours of music (secular and sacred) for the church's monthly coffeehouse. All are welcome. Special guests will be over 100 of the Triangle area's developmentally handicapped citizens and their caretakers. Lots of snacks will be served!

Buddy will provide an hour concert for the residents, and for any visitors/friends who would like to come.

Sunday April 6th at 7:00pm

You're invited to "SNL" (Sunday Night Live!) on April 6th at 7:00pm at Fairmont United Methodist Church on Clark Ave. in Raleigh. Buddy will be this week’s guest musician, and will perform 3 songs. The pastor, Steve Hickle, will play his trumpet! There are free snacks before the service! Fairmont UMC is located at 2501 Clark Avenue, just two blocks off Hillsboro, and a couple of blocks past Cameron Village and Oberlin Road when coming from Cary on Clark Avenue. Saturday, April 12th 5:30-6:30pm In the Log Cabin at First United Methodist Church in Cary Buddy will sing 3 songs relating to “welcoming strangers” in the regular 5:30 worship service. Certified United Methodist Lay Speaker Greg Bennett will present the message on “The Stranger.”
Sunday, April 13th @ 3:15pm Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist, Church, Cary Buddy will sing an original song written especially for this occasion, the retirement party for Faye Ballington, who has been Music Director for The Methodist Children’s Center for 33 years. The song is titled “Free at Last!”
Sunday, April 20th @ 12:45pm First United Methodist Church, Cary, Classroom #200 Buddy will provide music for a United Methodist Women’s lunch program on “Music and Missions.” The program focuses on how God’s mission is spread through music. Also providing music on the program are vocalist Mr. Ralph Gordon and pianist Ms. Kathy Goldston, both from FUMC Cary.
Thursday, May 1st @ noon Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Cary, at 117 South Academy St Buddy will provide special music for the Town of Cary’s annual Ecumenical "National Day of Prayer" service. All are welcome.
Friday, May 2nd 8:00pm Fletcher Theater at the Progress Energy Center in downtown Raleigh, NC.
The Center is between Salisbury and Wilmington Streets, 5 blocks south of the historic State Capitol Building.

Buddy will play euphonium in the Triangle Brass Band’s spring concert. The band will be saying “goodbye” to our long-time conductor, Dr. Michael Votta, and welcoming our new conductor, Mr. Tony Granados.
Two annual awards will be given at this concert for the outstanding band member of the year in the areas of 1) musicianship and 2) service.
Tickets for the concert are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students, at the door. We’ll play brass arrangements of “Amazing Grace” and “Be Thou My Vision” that are just amazing!!

Saturday, May 3rd 5:30pm – 6:30pm In the Log Cabin at First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC Buddy will sing 3 songs relating to the message topic, “The Prisoner,” in the weekly 5:30 worship service. United Methodist Lay Speaker Greg Bennett will present the message on “The Prisoner.” The scripture for the service is Matthew 25:31-40.

Buddy will provide music for a 30th wedding anniversary vow renewal service for Sue and Frank McVeigh

Thursday May 22nd, 11:30am & 12:30pm

Fayetteville NC Veteran's Nursing Home

Buddy will play the “National Anthem” and “Taps” on the Euphonium at the flag ceremony out front at 11:30am.  Then he’ll perform a Memorial Day concert indoors for the residents, staff, and guests at 12:30pm.

Friday, May 23rd, 7:30pm Fellowship hall of White Plains United Methodist Church at 313 SE Maynard Road in Cary Buddy will provide leadership for group singing, and will also provide 2 special songs, for the Heart of Carolina Emmaus Community’s monthly Gathering. There will be songs, a “Fourth Day” message, Holy Communion, and, of course, snacks!  Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to have already gone on a Walk to come!  Come find out more about the Walk to Emmaus, a 3-day spiritual event that will last the rest of your life (really)!

Saturday May 31, 5:30pm worship service The log cabin at Waldo & Walker Streets, First United Methodist Church, Cary Buddy will provide special music for the weekly informal 5:30 Saturday worship service. All are welcome.  Come as you are - it's a log cabin!
Sunday June 1st at 9:00am & 11:00am Lebanon United Methodist Church in Mebane, NC

Buddy will lead group singing and provide special music for both the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services.

All are welcome.

[Directions to Lebanon UMC:  Take I-40 west from Raleigh.  Just past the I-40 & I-85 merge, take exit #160 (Efland Exit).  At the end of the (long!) exit ramp, turn right onto Mt. Whilling Rd. (road name not marked).  You'll cross some RRtrax and come to a dead end/stop sign.  Turn left there onto Efland Cedar Grove Road (also not marked).  Efland Cedar Grove Road curves around to the right to a stoplight.  Go through the stoplight (stop if it’s red!) and continue 1.7 miles to a crossroads.  Turn left at the crossroads onto Lebanon Church Road (which later becomes Lebanon Road).  In 2.4 miles you'll go past Daniels Farm Road; keep going straight 0.2 miles, and you'll see the church on the right.]

Friday, June 6th  7:30pm Holly Springs, NC Cultural Center Buddy will play euphonium with the Triangle British Brass Band in their 1st summer POPS concert of the season, with lots of tunes that you’ll enjoy!
Sunday, June 8th 11:00am – noon Community United Methodist Church in Butner, NC. directions Buddy will provide the music for the regular 11:00 Sunday morning worship service. The pastor, Karl Neuschaefer, and his wife, Jeannie, are wonderful Walk to Emmaus Friends of Buddy & Charlotte.

Saturday, June 28th 7:00pm The old train depot in downtown Apex, NC, outdoors (now the Chamber of Commerce) Buddy will play euphonium with the Triangle British Brass Band in their 2nd summer POPS concert of the season, with lots of tunes that you’ll enjoy!
Friday, July 4th, 4:00pm The gazebo near the pool at Meadowmont Community, off Highway 54 in Chapel Hill Buddy will play principal euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band at the annual Independence Day concert. Meadowmont is across Hwy. 54 from “The Friday Center.”  All are welcome.
Sunday, August 3rd, 11:00am Faith Presbyterian Church, Morganton NC Buddy will sing “Amazing Grace Blues” during the offertory in the regular morning worship service.
Wed. August 6th thru Sat. Buddy will sing lead with The Methodaires Gospel Quartet in the 3 morning worship services. This is a special morning – all 3 services will be filled with God’s music – it’s the “Great Day of Singing!”  Come and worship with lots of music groups, solos, and instruments.

Buddy will play Euphonium with the Triangle British Brass Band in concert at 5:00pm.  The concert is part of the Town Of Cary’s annual “Brass At Bond” event.

The event begins at  2:00pm, and will include the St. Francis Brass Band, the Herding Cats Ten-tet, A Touch of Brass, Tuba-licious, the Ascension Trombone Choir, and the finale will be a concert by the Triangle British Brass Band.  

Bring a blanket and some food, and enjoy!  The event is free, courtesy of the Town of Cary.

Buddy will sing a 1-hour concert during the evening service time in the FUMC Williamston sanctuary. All are welcome!
Monday October 20th at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00pm North Carolina State Fair! in front of the "little white church," which is beside the Village of Yesteryear (Holshouser Building) Buddy will sing lead (and sometimes alto) with the Methodaires Gospel Quartet at their annual performance during the NC State Fair in Raleigh.  The three 20-to-30-minute well-amplified performances will be outdoors in front of the "little white church," which is beside the Village of Yesteryear (Holshouser Building).  The Methodaires are from First United Methodist Church in Cary.
Sunday October 26th, 11:00am Divine Street United Methodist Church, Dunn NC Buddy will play acoustic guitar and sing in the tenor section with the Chapel Singers ensemble from First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC.  The Chapel Singers will provide uplifting music for the morning worship service, including music during the normal sermon time.
Sunday October 26th, 4:00pm Carolina Theater, Durham NC Buddy will play euphonium in the Triangle Brass Band in concert.
Saturday, November 8th, 5:30pm In the Log Cabin at the corner of Waldo and Walker Streets, at First United Methodist Church in Cary

Buddy will set up his PA system, and play and sing in the log cabin on Waldo Street at First United Methodist Church in Cary. He'll provide 25 minutes of uplifting music during the sermon time for the weekly Saturday afternoon worship service.

It's very informal, so come as you are; shorts and a t-shirt are fine!
